What Packaging Materials Are Commonly Used For Cosmetic Boxes?
Sep 12, 2025
Cosmetic packaging is primarily made of paper. Common materials include: white cardboard (highly stiff and effective for printing, making it the preferred choice for lid and top boxes); gray cardboard (used as a lining or box blank, due to its high stiffness); specialty papers (such as tactile paper, pearlescent paper, and embossed paper, which enhance the texture); and gold and silver cardboard (for a luxurious, decorative touch). Supplementary materials include: PET, PVC, and PP plastics (for transparent windows and inner trays); aluminum foil (for flexible tubes or specialized packaging); and metal (tinplate, used for high-end, limited-edition items). With the trend toward environmental protection, the use of biodegradable materials and recycled paper is increasing.
