Common cake box materials include paper, plastic, and iron. Paper cake boxes (costing as little as 0.5-2 yuan per box) are environmentally friendly and biodegradable, with excellent printing adaptability (supporting 4-6 color printing), making them suitable for short-term display or in-store use. However, they only have a compressive strength of 5-10 kg and are prone to deformation at humidity levels above 60%. Plastic cake boxes (PP/PS) have a transparency of over 90%, excellent water resistance (withstands 100% humidity), and an impact strength of 20-30 kg. They are suitable for cold chain transportation, but their degradation cycle can be as long as 100-200 years. Iron cake boxes (tinplate, 0.2-0.3mm thick) can be reused 5-8 times and have an IP54 seal. However, if the box weighs over 500g, shipping costs will increase by 30%-40%.
